At PVP, we believe that performing arts can enrich the lives the people of our community, and we provide challenging programs for young people interested in performing as well as for anyone who wants to learn about technical theater. This year, in addition to our behind the scenes Protégé Program for ages 13 and up, we will be offering a 2-week Summer Theatre Intensive for young performers from rising 6th graders through graduating 12th graders.
Meet the Summer Theatre Intensive Creative Team
Alan Tulin (Director) has been working in musical theater for the past fifty years, and he has a passion for sharing his experience, skills, and knowledge with the next generation of performers.
Alan began his career as an actor and director in summer stock at the Keene Music Theater. He then moved on to starring roles in regional theaters around the country in shows such as 42nd Street, Shenandoah, Grease, and The Music Man. Off Broadway Alan appeared in the original cast of the Drama Desk award winning revue Howard Crabtree's Whoop Dee Doo, and he performed for two years in Tony 'n Tina's Wedding. Alan is known in NJ as a Director for his numerous productions in Bayonne and Maywood, NJ.
As an educator, Alan has taught and directed hundreds of young people in more than sixty classic musicals since 1991 at Trinity School in NYC, where he has also been a member of the Performing Arts faculty. We are thrilled to have Alan join us this summer as a Director and Educator in the Summer Theatre Intensive program!

Danielle is Director and Choreographer for the Brightest Star Performing Arts Summer Beach Camp, and she teaches at Dancesation Studios, LLC. Danielle is not only an Educator, Director, Music Director, and Choreographer, she is also an accomplished actress. You may have seen Danielle as Miss Honey in Matilda last year at OSAPC. Or you may have caught her in some of her other favorite roles which include Catherine in The Foreigner, Lucille Frank in Parade, Susan in Tick, Tick...Boom!, Maggie in ACL, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Brooke in Legally Blonde, Percy Talbot in Spitfire Grill, Janet in Drowsy Chaperone, Fiona in Shrek, Olive in Spelling Bee, Marian in The Music Man. Danielle won the Perry for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Danielle is a long-time member of the PVP family, and we are so excited to have her join the Summer Theatre Intensive Team!
Devin Leonard (Choreographer) has been dancing and doing theatre since she was 5 years old. She trained with Studio 691 in Wyckoff, New Jersey in their senior company for over 10 years and is now studying for her BFA in Musical Theatre and Dance at Nazareth University.
This past year she has worked on Nazareth’s production of Curtains, and last year Devin choreographed their student production of Firebringer. Throughout high school she taught children of all ages various styles of dance including ballet, musical theatre, and jazz. She has performed in over 30 musical productions, and has acted as dance captain for the majority of them!
We are looking forward to Devin sharing her talents, experience, and energy with the young performers in the PVP Summer Theater Intensive!
